DAY 01: DELHI / JAIPUR

Arrive Delhi by International flight.

Meeting upon arrival at the airport by our representative & transfer to Safdarjung Railway Station.

Delhi, The capital of India, is fascinating city with complexities, beauty and dynamism, where the past co-exists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments. Delhi is not only the present metropolis of India but also a necropolis. Located on the banks of the river Yamuna, Delhi has witnessed the rise and fall of many cities over the last five millennia.

The tour starts in the evening with a ceremonial welcome aboard the Palace on Wheels at Safdarjung New Delhi. You will be introduced to your fellow travellers. Feel free to explore your new palace, and acquaint yourself with its various facilities. Relax with a drink at the bar. Dinner will be served on board in its two restaurants. The train departs from the station at 18:30 hrs for its first destination, Jaipur.

DAY 02: JAIPUR / SAWAI MADHOPUR

Arrive Jaipur at 0200 hrs.

Jaipur- the capital of Rajasthan is colour washed pink- the colour associated with auspiciousness and Rajput hospitality. This Pink City of fairy tale palaces, rugged fortresses perched on barren hills and a city of broad avenues is picturesque. The first planned city of its time, Jaipur is encircled by formidable wall.

Breakfast on Board & Departure by coach for Sight Seeing at 0815 hrs. Visit to Albert Hall Museum, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Shopping & Elephant ride

Also visit Amber Fort. Return to train for Dinner at 1800 hrs and Departure for Sawai Madhopur from Durgapura Railway Station Jaipur at 2000 hrs.

DAY 03: SAWAI MADHOPUR / CHITTORGARH

Arrive Sawaimadhopur at 0445 hrs.
Departure for Ranthambore National at 0600 hrs
Ranthambore National Park is considered to be the countries best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. The park, covering an area of 392 sq. km. is home to more than 300 species of birds. The tiger, hyena, rate, jackal and fox are among those constituting the carnivorous population here. Sawai Madhopur is known for its exclusive toys, ethnic ornaments and costumes.

Departure for Chittorgarh
Arrive Chittorgarh at 1600 hrs.

Chittorgarh, also called Chittaur, from the 7th century to the 16th, was the capital of Mewar under the Rajputs. Chittaur evokes memories of great heroism and sacrifice by Rajput men and women in the intermittent battles that they had to fight against invaders from Northwest or Delhi. Chittaur witnessed both the ravages of war and the triumphs of the spirit.

DAY 04: CHITTORGARH / UDAIPUR / JAISALMER

Departure from Chittorgarh at 0200 hrs.
Arrive Udaipur at 0800 hrs.
Breakfast on Board. Udaipur, the city of Dawn, is the Jewel of Mewar – a kingdom ruled by the Sisodia Dynasty for 1200 years. Its kaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavour of a heroic past, epitomizing valour and chivalry. The reflection of these building in the placid waters of the Lake Pichola is an enticing sight.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy boat ride on Lake Pichola, on which the majestic Lake Palace Hotel is situated. See the bathing ghats along the lake and the interesting buildings on the banks. The view of the city palace from the lake is spectacular. Dock at the Jagmandir Island where the Maharaja of Udaipur once gave Shah Jahan sanctity.
Arrival on train at 1500 hrs.
Departure for Jaisalmer.

DAY 05: JAISALMER / JODHPUR

Arrive Jaisalmer at 0830 hrs.
Jaisalmer- rising from the Thar Desert like a golden mirage is the city of Jaisalmer. The Jaisalmer fort etched in yellow sandstones stands with all its awesome splendour. The life within the citadel conjures up images of medieval majesty visible in its narrow lanes strewn with magnificent palaces, havelis, temples and typical desert life of people and animals.

DAY 06: JAISALMER / JODHPUR/ BHARATPUR

Arrive Jodhpur at 0700 hrs.

Jodhpur at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. The massive 15th centuary AD Mehrangarh Fort looms on the top of a rocky hill, soaring 125 m above the plains. The lifestyle in Jodhpur is unusually fascinating with peoplewearing lovely multi hued costumes, artistically designed. Shopping in Jodhpur bazaars is a heady experience with a colourful display of the rich collection of exquisite handicrafts. The tie-and-dye fabric, embroidered `jutis’ or slippers in suede, camel skin, velvet and leather, beautiful silk duries, marble souvenirs from Majrana , an extensive range of useful and decorative items etc., are of interest.

Later, transfer to Bharatpur at 1630 hrs. Dinner on board

DAY 07: BHARATPUR / AGRA / DELHI

Arrive Bharatpur at 0730 hrs.
Bharatpur- The 'Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan, was founded by Maharaja Suraj Mal in 1733 AD, it was once an impregnable well fortified city, carved out of the region formerly known as Mewat. The trio of Bharatpur, Deeg and Dholpur has played an important part in the history of Rajasthan.

The place was named as Bharatpur after the name of Bharat, the brother of Lord Rama, whose other brother Laxman was worshipped as the family deity of the Bharatpur. There is a forest called 'GHANA' means dense forest within a distance of about 5 Km. from District Head Quarter which remains green during the rainy season. Bharatpur Ghana's plan was prepared in 1896 by the State Engineer for driving and confining the wild cattle in the dense forest with 250 species of migratory birds during the monsoon season and 'winter' season, which is famous all over India and world for being a great sanctuary of birds.

Arrive (Achnera) Railway Station at 1000 hrs & Visit to Fort of Agra
Lunch at Hotel
After lunch visit Taj Mahal & Shopping
After visiting Taj back to train for Dinner
Transfer for Delhi from Agra Cantt Railway Station at 2045 hrs.

DAY 08: DELHI

Arrive at Safdarjung Train Station, New Delhi at 0203
Breakfast on Board
After breakfast transfer to Airport to board flight for onward destination.
